SUMMARY

  • Glovo, the Spanish on-demand delivery service, has partnered with finmid to offer instant, personalised funding to small businesses on its platform.

Now available in Spain, Portugal, and Poland, eligible merchants can get a cash advance directly through the Glovo app. They can use the money for anything—buying equipment, renovating, improving cash flow, or investing in marketing—to help grow their business.

finmid takes care of all the checks and verifications using real-time business data. Merchants get the money within 24 hours without filling long forms or waiting through slow approval processes like with traditional lenders.

On average, merchants who use finmid’s financing see their sales grow by up to 20%, which wouldn’t be possible without this support.

Finmid was started in 2021 by Max Schertel and Alexander Talkanitsa, who used to work at N26. Now, finmid operates in 20 countries and helps B2B software platforms create new ways to make money and build stronger relationships with their customers using its all-in-one lending products.

Ferran Casulleras, Global Commercial Senior Director at Glovo, said: "At Glovo, we are dedicated to empowering small local businesses to thrive by providing seamless access to financing solutions. We often see that SME restaurants face cash flow challenges, and this is a highly effective tool to help them overcome that barrier.

Through our partnership with finmind, we are making it easier for them to invest in their growth, stay resilient, and feel supported by a partner that understands their day-to-day challenges."

Max Schertel, Co-founder of finmid, said: "Glovo has built trusted relationships with thousands of small businesses. Our infrastructure helps turn that trust into meaningful financial access – faster, fairer, and embedded where it’s needed most.

These early results show how powerful that combination can be for all involved. We are excited to deepen our partnership and unlock financial access for thousands more businesses across more markets."
